As therapists, healers, and caregivers, we are often called to witness the transformation of others while postponing our own healing. This experiential is designed to change that.
Intuitive Heart Counseling and ShaMynds Healing Center are collaborating to offer mental health clinicians something truly one-of-a-kind: an opportunity to receive ketamine in a safe, intentionally held space alongside a community of fellow healers. Led by Christina Robles, LMFT, this experience is designed to create a safe and supportive space for helping professionals to reconnect with the innate healing intelligence of the body, deepen self-awareness, and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Through somatic practices, intention setting, ketamine-assisted exploration, and group integration, participants will be invited to move beyond the role of healer and reconnect with the deeper wisdom that exists within. This experiential is designed for therapists, coaches, social workers, psychiatrists, and practitioners of all kinds who feel called to understand this medicine from the inside out.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is ketamine?
Ketamine is a legally approved medication that has been used safely in medical settings for decades. In recent years it has gained recognition as a rapid-acting treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. At sub-anesthetic doses, it can produce altered states of consciousness that support emotional processing, insight, and healing.
What is intramuscular (IM) ketamine?
Intramuscular ketamine is the administration route used for this experiential event. It is administered via injection into the muscle, typically the upper arm. IM delivery allows for a relatively fast onset, with effects typically beginning within a few minutes and lasting approximately 45–60 minutes. For this experiential, ketamine will be administered in two doses — participants will receive the first injection, and the second will be offered approximately 15–20 minutes later.
What does a ketamine experience feel like?
Experiences vary widely from person to person. Many people report a sense of deep relaxation, expanded awareness, visual or perceptual shifts, emotional release, and a feeling of disconnection from ordinary thinking patterns. Some describe it as profoundly peaceful; others find it more activating or emotionally intense. The somatic and therapeutic container provided in this experiential is designed to support whatever arises.
Is ketamine safe?
When administered in a medically supervised setting by trained professionals, ketamine has a well-established safety profile. All participants in this experiential will complete a medical intake with Dr. Ahmad, M.D. prior to the event to ensure clinical appropriateness. Individuals with certain medical or psychiatric contraindications may not be eligible to participate.
Who is not a good candidate for ketamine?
Ketamine may not be appropriate for individuals with a history of psychosis or schizophrenia, uncontrolled hypertension, certain cardiovascular conditions, active substance use disorders, or those who are pregnant. These and other contraindications will be assessed during your Medical Intake appointment.
Do I need to have prior experience with ketamine or psychedelics?
No prior experience is necessary. This experiential is designed to be a welcoming entry point for helping professionals who are curious about ketamine-assisted therapy and want to understand it from the inside out.
How should I prepare for the experience?
Detailed preparation guidance will be provided at the Group Orientation & Ketamine Prep Session on August 7. General recommendations include avoiding food and alcohol for several hours beforehand, wearing comfortable clothing, and arriving with an open and curious intention. We also recommend identifying a trusted person to drive you home afterward.
Will I need a ride home?
Yes. Due to the effects of ketamine, you will not be able to drive yourself home after the experiential. Please arrange for a trusted person to pick you up or plan for a rideshare.
What happens after the experience?
The final portion of the event (4:45–6:15pm) is dedicated to group integration — a facilitated space to process, reflect, and begin making meaning of your experience alongside fellow participants. Integration is an important part of the healing process, and participants are encouraged to continue that work with their own therapist or supervisor in the days following the event.
